Who is DSD Insurance?

Replace your Insurance Card each year! Your Commercial Auto and GL Coverage renews only once per year. You receive renewal Information in the mail directly form Allstate or Progressive. OPEN the envelope, REVIEW the information, REMOVE the insurance card and REPLACE the card in the truck!

Allstate Adds Loss of Income Coverage for Flowers Distributors at No Additional Cost!

Allstate Business Insurance is pleased to announce a no cost coverage enhancement to their Independent Distributor Program insurance package. Beginning with new or renewal policies effective Feb 1, 2010, Flowers Distributors insured by Allstate will automatically receive Business Income Coverage in All States except Virginia. The addition of this coverage has been submitted to the State Department of Insurance and is awaiting approval.

This newly added coverage applies to actual loss of Business Income caused by the necessary suspension of your business from a covered loss to your insured vehicle (for example: collision, theft, fire or vandalism). Coverage begins 24 hours after the time of direct physical loss or damage to your insured vehicle. Allstate Business Insurance Select Claim Service

In order to provide exceptional claims service to Flowers distributors, Allstate created a claims service unit that is dedicated to the Flowers Distributor. Effective 6/1/2010 all Flowers Distributor Allstate claims will be handled by an exclusive claims office located in Irving Texas by a dedicated claims staff. This Select Claims Service is the only one like it in the Allstate Claims operation and is a unique benefit that is available only to Flowers Distributors.

In order to make sure you receive the full benefit this claims arrangement offers, you must report all claims by contacting DSD Insurance @ 866-621-1770 or submitting your claim @ dsdinsurance. If your accident occurs outside our normal business hours and you cannot wait until the following business day to report the claim to our office, contact Allstate insurance company at 800-Allstate (800-255-7828). The next day, call our office so we can make sure the claim you reported gets to the right group of adjusters.

Tram Norris Allstate Independent Distributor Scholarship Fund

Allstate and Tram Norris have established a scholarship program to assist Flowers Foods independent distributor’s children who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college and vocational programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at any accredited post-secondary institution of the student’s choice.

This scholarship program is managed by Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of America, Inc. (CSFA), a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization. CSF A seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational achievement. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, sex, disability, or national origin Applicants to the Allstate Independent Distributor Scholarship Fund must be:

Children up to the age of 24 of full-time Flowers Foods independent distributors as of the date recipients are verified; and High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.

Awards
Up to eight $1,000 scholarships will be awarded each year. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Application
Interested students must complete the application and mail it along with a current transcript of grades to CSFA postmarked no later than March 1.
